Mrs. Annie Laura Woods Simpson, age 97, a native of Waynesboro, Mississippi and a resident of Mobile, Alabama died on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Woodrow W. Wood and F.M. Simpson. She is survived by her children, Janice Wood, Lois Laurice (Ricky) Gafford; niece that she loved as a daughter, Shirley (Bob) Shearer; two grandchildren, Michael C. Gafford, Ashley N. Gafford; one great grandchild, Natalie Erickson, other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ricky Gafford, Michael Gafford, Robert Shearer Jr. and Jeffrey Shearer.
