Lyon was born February 9, 1938 to the late Lucille Lyon Crowe and Rae Maurice Crowe of Mobile Alabama.
Lyon was predeceased by his brother Rae Crowe.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Carol Norton Crowe, His children Rudene Crowe, William Porter (Alicia) and Ashley Carol Porter, three grandchildren Asher Oldenburg, Brantley Oldenburg,and Cooper Porter.
Lyon Attended Murphy High School and the University of Alabama where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
Those who crossed paths with Lyon knew that his compassion and respect for others went hand in hand with his determination and hard work. He was in many social and professional organizations including the Red Elephant Club, Mobile Section, Alabama AGC, Mobile County Road Builders Association and Baldwin County Road Builders Association. Lyon was also an active, riding member of a mystic society.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 23rd at 11:00 AM followed by his service at 12:00 Noon at
Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church 4051 Old Shell Rd. Mobile, Al 36608
