Audrey King King Davis

Audrey K. Davis – Born October 8, 1920, in Bogue Chitto, MS, a resident of Mobile since 1974, and a current resident of Pensacola, died Friday, May 20, 2011. Mrs. Davis was a member of Union Baptist Church in Grand Bay. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, A. Ray Davis. Survivors include five children, Rebecca Davis (Randy) Daniels, Thomas R. (Mary) Davis, Peggy Davis (Frank) Knippenberg, Lanier (Delores) Davis, and Mary Davis (Michael) Spanos; fourteen grandchildren, Todd (Christi) Daniels, Amanda (Tom) Browning, Jeffrey Ray Davis, Chuck Cofer, Kelley (Rocky) Hughes, Timothy (Colleen) Leonard, Brian Daniels, Jack Knippenberg, Peter (Lori) Petro, Susan Knippenberg, Lanae Davis, Whitney Doughty, Danielle (Wayne) Hollis, and Jamie (Kevin) Cumbest; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from Union Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
