Barbara Banks Banks Broach

Mrs. Barbara Banks Broach, 71, of Rock Hill, SC, went Home on November 3, 2013. Mrs. Broach was born December 13, 1941 in Mobile, AL, daughter of the late Robert Moore Banks, Sr. and Mabel Williams Banks.

A member of Trinity Bible Church from 1984-2005 and frequent attender at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was 38 years old and sought to live a godly life. She possessed an unrelenting love for her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as someone who was devoted to her family, never complained, and was totally committed to Christ.

Mrs. Broach is survived by her daughter Elizabeth M. Brown and her son Thomas G. Broach; her five grandchildren, Rachel, Anna, and Drew Brown and Elizabeth and Sarah Broach; and her brother Robert Moore Banks, Jr and her sister Elizabeth G. Banks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Professor Glen T. Broach in 2000.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation and blessings to the caregivers of Mrs. Broach, including the doctors and staff at Carolinas Medical Center. They are grateful for the compassionate care of Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill and the spiritual support of the pastoral care staff at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

A service to celebrate her life and Home-going will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Rd., Mobile, AL 36619. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
