Barbara Ann Emanuel, aged 80, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2023 after a short illness. She was born in December 1942 in Mobile, Alabama. She married her true love, Thomas Emanuel in July 1960, who preceded her in death in 2007.
Barbara loved gardening, looking at cookbooks, a nice glass of wine, and spending time with friends and her large family. She generally spoke her mind, like it or not – but making new friends wherever she went. She loved to make people happy, always offering to help. For many years, Barbara worked as a Registered Nurse, and loved caring for other people, always putting the needs of others first.
Barbara is survived by two daughters, Teresa Michelle and Suzanne Christine (Tim); eight grandchildren: Tiffany (Jeff), Jennifer (Kris), Jackie, Thomas (Hope), Morgan (Steve), Justin, Taylor, and Shyann; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many friends and extended family.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Friday, June 16, 2023 for a gathering of friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service immediately following at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
