Barbara Ann Doherty Moore, a lifelong resident of Mobile, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2025. A private-duty LPN for most of her life, Ann devoted herself to caring for others with compassion and dedication. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose strength and spirit touched all who knew her.
A proud member of the Cody Road Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ann lived her faith daily through service and kindness. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Moore; her parents, Jesse and Ora Doherty; her sister, Lois Anita Roberts, her uncle, Cecil Doherty; her daughter, Lynda Turton; her granddaughter, Jessica Patterson and her grandson, Aaron Leigh Scott.
Ann is survived by her children, Jacqueline (Russell) Scott, Sandra (Curtis) Morris, Jayne (Steve) Sanders, Tonja Moore, and Toni B. D-Agostino. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Justina Scott, Michelle Turton, Ashley (Chris) Metzger, Chadwick (Kristin) Ellzey, Brandon (Hannah) Bowers; and Tim Morris, as well as her 15 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought tremendous joy to her life.
Ann’s legacy of love, faith, and selfless care will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Committal will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
