Bernice Doris Riedeburg

Bernice Doris Goethel Riedeburg, 102, Bernice was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 14, 1921. She passed away on June 15, 2023, in Mobile, Alabama. She married Herman Wolf Riedeburg in 1946, and they were married for 36 years.

Bernice was a resident of Mobile for the last 64 years and was a faithful member of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herman and her parents, Kurt B. and Irma Goethel.

Mrs. Riedeburg is survived by her daughters, Alice Elizabeth (Frank) Vogtner and Virginia Anne (Joe) Barresi; grandchildren, David Vogtner, Katie Vogtner of Mobile, Alabama, Alison (Waylon) Zabriskie of Dayton, Oregon, Celia Barresi of St. Louis, Missouri, and Cara (Colin) Chandler of St. Louis, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Marshall and Fiona Kreft of Dayton, Oregon, and Jim, Frances, and Joe Ratchford of St. Louis, Missouri; nephews, Theodore (Linda) Riedeburg of Poughkeepsie, New York, and Charles (Dee) Riedeburg of Goldsboro, North Carolina.

The family would like to thank the staff of Crowne of Spring Hill for their kind and compassionate care during the last year. The family also thanks Paulette Hubbard and Toyal Oliver for their kind and loyal care of our mom.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Spring Hill Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice.

A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in Old Spring Hill Cemetery, Mobile, Alabama.
