Bettie Ann Lemley

Bettie Ann Lambert Lemley, aged 83 years, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020. Born in Monroeville, AL., Ann spent her childhood in Selma and was a longtime resident of Mobile. Ann loved being a wife, mother and Nana. She taught kindergarten for over three decades and impacted hundreds of children in their formative years. She is a member of Moffett Road Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her precious baby, Cynthia Joy. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, William L Lemley; three children, Bruce Lemley (Lynn) of Dauphin Island, Lori Overlaur (Kevin) of Valdosta, Ga, Scott Lemley of Stanley, NC; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Linda Veitch (Fred) of Colorado Springs, CO and Dane Lambert of Demopolis, AL; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A small, private funeral will be held on Friday, May 1st. Interment will follow at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St Jude Children’s Hospital. The family would like to thank the nurses, aides and doctors at Kindred Hospice of Mobile for their loving care during the final weeks of her life.
