Betty Ann Killingsworth Stienstraw, 81, born November 2, 1939 in Washington, Pennsylvania, entered into eternal rest on April 2, 2021, at a local nursing home in Mobile, Alabama - after a courageous battle with dementia. Mrs. Stienstraw was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Benjamin Stienstraw, Sr.; a son, David Benjamin Stienstraw, Jr.; grandson, Cory Smith; siblings, Frank “Lindy” Killingsworth, Albert Killingsworth, Orville “Junior” Killingsworth, Mary Jane Killingsworth Duffield Ross Kirkland and Robert “Bobby” Killingsworth; parents, Orville Edward Killingsworth and Savanah Harmon Killingsworth.
Mrs. Stienstraw is survived by her loving and devoted children, Rhonda Pace (Robert Pace) of Orange Beach, Alabama, Valorey Smith of Mobile, Alabama and Reva Hitchcock of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jacob Stienstraw of Mobile, Alabama, Elizabeth Stienstraw of Nashville, Tennessee, Christopher Pace of Nashville, Tennessee, Stephen Pace of Birmingham, Alabama, Lynsey Smith of Mobile, Alabama and Preston Smith of Atlanta, Georgia; sister-in-law, Janet Lewis; friends, Ed and Pinky Krum of Milton, Florida, Nadine Brown of Ivydale, West Virginia and Al Howze; and her dog, Charlie and her cat, Samantha, also survived by other relatives, family and friends.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff at Robertsdale Health Center’s Memory Care Unit (LudKey).
Particularly, the kind care of nurses Carol, Jamila and Pandora, and staff members Leah and Rebekah.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church.
Graveside Services will be held at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Jeff Spiller of Christ United Methodist Church officiating.
