Jan. 1, 1931 - Sept 26, 2014 Mrs. Betty Jo Sumlin, longtime resident of Mobile, Al, passed away at her home on Friday, September 26, 2014, surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Carlton Leslie Sumlin, daughters; Connie Sumlin Smith (Robert J.), Brenda Sumlin McDuffie (Christopher M), and Eva Sumlin Creel (Bruce G.). Nana was also survived by her grandchildren ; Cara Smith Dube (Charles), Leslie McDuffie Johnson (Ashley), Christin McDuffie Skidmore (Samuel), R. Joseph Smith (Anna), G. Tucker Creel (Christina), and Ashton Sumlin Creel, great-grandchildren; Claire, Reese, Nancy, Mary Carlton, Duffie, and Parker. Visitation will be held at Forest Hill Church of God from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014. Funeral service will follow in the church, with interment at Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, Alabama. Arrangements under the direction of Radney Funeral Home, Mobile, AL.
