Betty Lucille Cook Swindle, age 81 of Mobile, AL passed away peacefully at her home after a lengthy illness with cancer. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church where she was baptized. She enjoyed a long career at Piccadilly Cafeteria where she was head cashier. She was recognized in so many places by the people that knew her there. She will be remembered by her family and friends as someone who was truly a people person and loved everyone.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Capt. Emanuel Cleveland Cook Sr. and Dottie Lucille Cook, and one son, Daniel L. Carmack. Survivors include two siblings, Emanuel C. Cook Jr. and Carolyn “Cookie” Cook Smith; her children, Thomas Oliver Swindle Jr., Katrina K. Swindle Carrera, and Timothy Kristopher Swindle; grandchildren, Jairun S. Diemert, Michaela D. Tiedman, Andrea M. Swindle Landrum, Thomas O. Swindle III, Natalie N. Swindle, Amanda Ackerman and Matthew Ackerman; great-grandchildren; Leeloo Sade Diemert, Caison Landrum, Emma Landrum, Ava George, Stella George, and Zoe Ackerman.
