Bobbie Jean Turberville Bowden

Bobbie retired from Allied Steel after 28 years as their bookkeeper. She loved her life, her son, grandchildren and great grandchildren immensely. Everyone that met her loved her instantly. She was a very sweet, loving, caring person with a huge heart. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by all her siblings, Mary lee Robinson, Odell Gurley, Bessie Scarbourgh, Mae Pearl Daniels, Margaret Preston, Archie Turberville, Floyd Turberville; her parents, Archie and Viola Turberville; her husband, James (Bo-Dean) Bowden of 54 years and her beloved granddaughter, Jamie Bowden Gilmore.

She is survived by her only child, Michael Bowden (Phyllis); grandson, Christopher Bowden (Janie); grandson-in-law, B.J. Gilmore (Jena); great grandchildren, Billy Gilmore, Jack Bowden, Waylon Bowden, Macie Bowden, Linden McAdams, Sarah and Kevin Watson; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank, Southern Care hospice and Springhill Senior residence staff for their love, support and tender care.

Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday February 22, 2012 at 2 PM. Visitation will start at 1 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens
