Bobbie Rae McCardle

Mrs. McCardle was a 1951 graduate of Leakesville High School where she was very active with the 4H Club. She started working at Woolworth, and later worked as a secretary at United Mine Workers. She worked for Dr. L.E. Irby Veterinary Clinic for over 40 years, and later worked for Irby Overton Veterinary Clinic. She joined Moffett Road Baptist Church in 1950 where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry McCardle, Sr.; and her son, Charles Henry McCardle, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Stephen R. “Randy” McCardle (Tammie Frazier); her daughter, Stephanie McCardle Gremillion (Henry J. Cruppi, Jr.); grandson, Jonathan C. McCardle (Kathryn Hubbard); nephew, Joey Pellegrine, II.; niece, Marie Douglas Arnold; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama 36606.
