Byron Robert Brown

Byron Robert Brown age 93 born November 11,1931 in Castleberry AL died peacefully at his home in Irvington AL. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert & Estelle Brown wives Agnes Johnson Brown and Bobbie Parker Brown, son Jeffie Sullivan Brother Bertis Brown and sisters Beatrice Outzen , Willie Ruth Pierce, Marie Smith, Gloria Ziegler and Wynette Brown .

Mr. Brown is survived by daughters Nancy Lunsford of Grand Bay and Carrie ( Thomas) Hillburn of Irvington AL. brother Garry Brown of Coden AL and sisters Ann Nelson and Audrey Sims of Brewton AL. PawPaw to grandchildren Wade (Brenda) Sullivan, Keith (Nina) Sullivan, Deanna Sullivan Jeff (Casady) Johnson, Jeremy (Darian) Hillburn, Kevin (Ryan) Lunsford, Stacy (Shawn) McLain, great-grandchildren Alexia, Samuel, Emmaline, Austin, Caleb, Raelynn, Noah, Keylee, Kaylah, Salina, Ethan, Kaleb ,Madalyn, Sophia, Isabella, Adelline Jack, Raegan, Joshua, Trevor, Scotty and Charlotte, 2 great-great grandchildren Jace and Tully and very special friends Sam Washington and Debbie Clausheide also survive him.

Mr. Brown was a Class A welder and worked many different construction jobs all over the United States. He also worked for Mobile County as a bulldozer and road grader operator and helped build many roads in Mobile County and could tell you each and every road he helped build. He was a member of Grand Bay Church Of God and at the age of 90 years young he gave his life to Christ and that’s all he looked forward to was seeing his sweet Jesus and thanking him for saving his soul. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell he was loved by so many nieces and nephews he was always just sweet Uncle Byron to all.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with funeral services in the funeral home chapel immediately following. Interment will be in Dorlon Cemetery, Heron Bay, AL . Pastor James Passman of Grand Bay Church of God will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Hillburn, Jeremy Hillburn, Jeff Johnson, Kaleb Johnson, Kevin Lunsford and Jack Lunsford.
