Carl Wayne McKinnell

Carl Wayne McKinnell, age 44, native of Mobile, AL, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Buddy and Barbara Giles, Mac and Dorothy McKinnell and Uncle Johnny McKinnell. Carl will be remembered by his family and friends as a young man who never lost his spirit for life despite an injury that left him permanently disabled. He never met a stranger and never let his disability inhibit his life. He loved to fish and hunt and spending precious time with his nephew and niece, Lance and Laney. He had a warm, welcoming spirit that made all those around him feel special. Everything he did, was for someone else. Carl will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, William and Belinda McKinnell, sisters, Debbie (Scott) Patrick, Karen (Jamie) Wentworth, nephew Lance and niece Laney. He is also survived by special friends, the G. Chris Robinson family, Mark Connor, aunts, uncles, cousins and many other family and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
