Carlos Wayne "Mickey" Broughton

Wayne is predeceased by his parents, Melbon E. Broughton and Ruby Hollingsworth Broughton.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 50 years; sons, Randall “Reb” Broughton (April) and Ronald W. Broughton; four grandchildren, Kristi (Edwin) Broughton Pineda, Brandon Paul Broughton, Kendall Wayne Broughton and Abigail Elayne Broughton; three great-grandchildren, Alex Pineda, Krystal Pineda and Brayden Broughton; and loving sister-in-law, Nancy R. Blackmon; brother-in-law Randy Reneman; nephews Clint Reneman and Warren Blackmon (Audrea) and niece, Jena Reneman; great niece Taylor Blackmon and great nephew-Bryce Reneman; cousins, Janice Cooper and Lois (Milton) Tee.

Wayne was born in Bay Minette, Alabama. He graduated from Fairhope High School in 1962 and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from Scott Paper Company in 1994 after 27 years and was an over-the-road truck driver from 1994-2006.

Wayne enjoyed deep sea fishing, baseball, football and NASCAR as well as writing poetry and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama on October 14, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Gospel Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, 8840 Howell’s Ferry Road, Semmes, Alabama on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
