Carlos Fitzgerald Campbell, native of Mobile, Alabama, exchanged life for eternity on Thursday, February 6th, 2020. Carlos was born on November 10th, 1963 to Dorothy Campbell and the late Percy White. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Laura Williams and uncle Walter Campbell. Carlos attended The Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic School, Mcgill-Toolen Catholic High School, and was a graduate of John L. LeFlore High School, class of 1982. Carlos attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Science in communications from the University of Mobile and his Master of Science in Leadership with an emphasis in disaster preparedness and executive fire leadership from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. Carlos worked as a DJ for WGOK, WBLX, and WDLT. He was master control operator at WKRG TV and Comcast Cable. He retired from The Weather Channel in Smyrna, Georgia as a master audio controller.
Carlos was a proud and dedicated member of the Original Dragons social club, where he served as recording secretary, ball chairman, and past president. Carlos, who was a patriarch of our family, was revered by all for his frankness, honesty, integrity, intelligence, and his open-door policy.

Carlos is survived by his loving and devoted wife Denise, his mother Dorothy Campbell, loving daughters Sade (Chris) Reese, Biloxi, Mississippi, Leah (Eddie) Lewis, Kennesaw, Georgia, and Olivia Hunte, Houston, Texas, loving niece and goddaughter Emily (Chris) Moore, Houston, Texas, devoted brothers Walter (Rhonda) Campbell of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Charles (Mona) White and Reginald White of Elk Grove, California, Percy L. Agnew of Mobile, Alabama, one sister Bianca B. White of Elk Grove, California, one uncle Willie (Naomi) Campbell of Mobile, Alabama, aunt Vera Campbell of Virginia, grandchildren Mila and Christian-Michael Reese of Biloxi,Mississippi, Eden and Emilia Lewis of Kennesaw, Georgia, devoted lifelong friend Kevin (Karen) Alexander, and many other loving and devoted nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 605 Donald Street, Mobile, AL on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation. Interment will be held in Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy., Mobile, AL.
