Carrie Bryant Grafton died suddenly 13 June 2011 in her home in Mobile. She was the wife of William Eugene "Bill" Grafton. She was born 11 November 1961 in Homer, Alaska, daughter of Edward & Josephine (Turner) Bryant. Carrie graduated 1980 from Shaw High School in Mobile and worked during her high school years and afterwards. She attended University of South Alabama and accumulated three credit years. She served for 13 years (beginning 1985) as an officer with the Mobile Police Department and resigned as a corporal. Carrie was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Joe & Ailene (Ramey) Turner, and her paternal grandparents, Edward & Helen (MacGregor) Bryant. Carrie is survived by her husband; her daughter, Christina Grafton; her sister, Jennifer Bryant (Mrs. John) Middaugh; her parents; her aunt, Faye Turner Roberts; her cousins: Diane Roberts (Mrs. Richard) Douglas, Sabina Roberts (Mrs. Greg) Wilson, Joe (Diana Nesbitt) Roberts.
