Celebration of Life services for Catherine Crawford Durant, 74, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 25, 2019 in the Chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home with Father Matthew O’Conner officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Pine Crest Cemetery.
The family will be receiving guests for visitation just prior to the service Friday, January 25, 2019 at Pine Crest from 1:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM.
Catherine was born to the late Pelham Jr. and Mary Fonde’ Durant May 27, 1944 in Mobile, Alabama and left this earth January 21, 2019. She shared interest with all of the families love for animals and for sharing memories of them. Catherine was always appreciative of the homes she lived and was always the life of the party. She was especially cared for by Sister Francis (since deceased), a well known nun at Allen Memorial Nursing Home. Catherine went to U.M.S. Girls School and studied recreation at the University of South Alabama.
Catherine is survived by her adoring sister; Mary Durant Marthinsen, her steadfast niece; Vivi Catherine Marthinsen, two great nephews: Pelham Nobles, Lochlin Nobles, one great niece; Yves Nobles, one nephew; Troy Durant Marthinsen, many cousins: Lynne Fonde’ Daughtery, Joan Fonde’ Meyers, the March and Norville families, along with many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
