Charles Edward Mason

Charles Edward Mason – a 68 year-old native and resident of Prichard passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Priscilla Stiles; daughters, Deanna and Bridgette; son, LaBarron; sister, Janice Jackson; granddaughters, Mallory and Justice; great-grandsons, Rashad and Jayden; and other relatives and friends. Charles had a passion for life-especially music, family, community and education. He eagerly encouraged young and old, family, and friends (or even strangers) to continue learning/stay in school. He is well-known in Mobile as the founder and leader of the Mobile Olympia Brass Band. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 4, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
