Charles Daniel Phillips III (AKA Grandpa Dan) passed away on April 24, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. A true American original, he will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. Grandpa Dan loved and supported his family and his country, no questions asked, with absolute dedication and selflessness.
Without his smile, his laughter, and his sky-blue jumpsuit, our lives have been made a little less shiny and a lot more humdrum.
May the Angels lead you into Paradise, may the Martyrs receive you at your coming, and take you to Jerusalem, the holy city. May the choirs of the Angels receive you, and may you with the once poor Lazarus have rest everlasting.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort, Alabama.
