David died at his home on Saturday, November 11, 2017. He was the only son of Dr. Charles D. Terry and Jessie Dawson Terry. He was a proud native and lifelong Mobilian. David graduated from Spring Hill College and received a graduate degree from University of Denver Hotel and Restaurant Management School. “Cool Dave”, as he was known to his many friends, never met a stranger and loved all types of music and never wanted to miss a party. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time with his hunting and sailing buddies. He loved Mardi Gras and was active in a local Mystic Society for many years. David had a successful business career and became the leading National salesman for DePuy, an orthopedic implant company. In his later years, “Cool” was slowed down by Multiple Sclerosis, but he never let that stop him. David is survived by his son, James Christian Terry, whom he loved dearly; step-children Nicholas, Lauren and P.J., three sisters and two brothers-in-laws, niece and nephews, his cousins, lifelong friend, Peter McGowin, and many other relatives and friends. His wish for a celebration of his life (party!!!!!) will be announced and held at a later date.Arrangements under the direction of Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, Mobile, AL.
