Charlie Green, Jr. peacefully departed this life on April 20th, 2022, at his home. Although he celebrated June 2nd, 3rd and 4th, Charlie was born June 2nd, 1941, to Ethel Thompson Green and Charlie Green, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Tony Thompson and George Green.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of 22 years, Rebecca Green; one sister: Sarah Walker; three children: Howard Butler, Christine Butler and Sherika (Taurus) Robbins; four grandchildren: Khari Rockward, Sariah Robbins, Tierra Butler and Jalin Breech; one niece: Diedre Moore; one great niece: Shakara (Brian) Worrell, one great nephew: Kyle Moore, and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Friday, April 29th from 5-7 pm, and at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 2 S Claiborne St., Mobile, AL 36602 on Saturday, April 30th at 10 am, with the funeral mass to follow at 11 am. In keeping with recent Catholic Church policies, the eulogy will be delivered immediately before Mass. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL 36605.
