Mr. Colen Lewis Strickland, age 74, longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 12, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Honor Right and Mary Ethel Hill Strickland. Mr. Strickland served his country honorably in the United States Army, retiring after 26 years of service. He retired as a machinist with over 40 years in the trade. He was a Past Master of S. B. Adams Lodge No. 884 and was an active member of Semmes Lodge 878. He was also active with Abba Shrine. Mr. Strickland is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Burton Strickland and children, Bobby Strickland (Donna), Lee Strickland (Cheryl), and Dale Strickland (Brandi). He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Louise Batley (Clyde), Sybil Thompson (Kenneth), Sylvia Gunter, grandchildren, Robby, Landen, and Karlyn Strickland, nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services with honors will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 10 a.m. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-mobile.com.
