

Dallas Arlen Lyons “Arlen”, 80, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in Theodore, Alabama. He was born to Dallas Eugene Lyons and Gladys Seaman Lyons on March 4, 1941 in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. Arlen was a graduate of St. Margaret’s Catholic School. He owned and operated Lyons Seafood for many years, as well as serving as a Councilman for the city of Bayou La Batre. Arlen was a humble soul, and the passion of his life was music. He played several instruments – if it existed and he had access to it, he’d learn how to play it. Arlen also loved singing. He was one of the founding members of Country Connections here in Mobile, and was very active throughout the community, playing for multiple benefits and fundraisers. Arlen loved the outdoors. He was also a very handy woodworker and crafter. Above all else, Arlen loved his family. He was a wonderful soul and will be greatly missed.
Arlen joined his wife of 46 years, Eunice Allen Lyons; and his parents, Dallas Eugene Lyons and Gladys Seaman Lyons.
He is survived by his three children, Lynn Neal (Ricky), Dallas Lyons, Jr. (Cindy), and Kirk Lyons (Theresa); seven grandchildren, Lindsay Akridge (Brian), Jessica Akridge (Matt), Whitney Burt (Christopher), Heather Lyons, Colby Lyons (Kayla), Austin Lyons, and Jordan Lyons; four great-granddaughters, Kaitlynn Akridge, Laurel Burt, Charlotte Burt, and Faith Lyons; a great-grandson who will make his appearance any day, Dallas Winston Lyons; a very loved and special friend, Patti Hand; as well as other cherished family and friends.
Visitation for Arlen will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Bayou La Batre, with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following. Interment will be in Oddfellows Cemetery.
