Darrell Dean Rentschler, 68, passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in Mobile, Alabama. Darrell was born to Harland Frederick Rentschler and Corrine Eloise Rentschler on April 6, 1957, in Dover, Delaware. He was a very skilled craftsman, and owned his own remodeling and construction company, Mobile Bay Construction, in Mobile, Alabama for many years. Darrell loved his plants, anything to do with the water – fishing, walking on the beach – and NASCAR. He was passionate and never met a stranger. Darrell was the type of man who treated everyone the same, regardless of their station in life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harland Frederick Rentschler and Corinne Eloise Rentschler.
Darrell is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Rachel Rentschler; the blessing of his grandchild on the way; brother, Duane Rentschler; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Ellen Rentschler; their daughters, Nicole Huot (Chris) and Danielle Campbell (Greg), and sons Randy Rentschler, Jr. and Kevin Rentschler; sister, Cindy “Lulu” Rentschler; her daughter and son-in-law Kadija and Patrick McMahon; as well as other cherished family and friends.
