David Benjamin Ramirez

Mr. David Benjamin Ramirez, age 84. After a lengthy illness, David passed from this earth on January 30, 2012 to a greater place, Heaven. He was a retired Merchant Marine of 40 years. He was a member of the Seafarers International union, of which he was proud. He served his country with honor and valor both in peacetime and war. Before his illness he attended Forest Hill Church of God faithfully. David is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eula Mae Ramirez; one daughter, Gail (Bill) Boyd; one son, David Wayne (Kay) Ramirez; four grandchildren, Heather Ramirez, Tiffany (Jon) Miller, Steve Boyd and John Boyd. Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 12 noon in Mobile Memorial Gardens with Reverend Ernest L. Quinley and Reverend Derwood Perkins officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.Arrangements under the direction of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Mobile, AL.
