David Vernell Taylor

David retired from Ingall's Shipbuilding, and was a volunteer firefighter for the Tillman's Corner Fire Department for 40 years.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Onie and Elnor Taylor, brothers Gordie, George, Alton, and Onie, Jr.; sister Ora B. Sprinkle, and grandson James Vernell Taylor, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Raymonda Rebman Taylor; children, James Taylor (Kathy), Glenda Singleton (Teddy); sisters, Vivian Lowery and Ida Jowers (Thomas); a brother Thomas Taylor; grandchildren, Krissy Hayes (Kevin), LaTonya Bacchus (Randy), Wayne Singleton (Megan), Cheyenne Richardson (Woody), Joshua Cooper, John Cooper; fifteen great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Taylor will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street, on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Funeral Service will be held from the funeral home chapel at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow in Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
