Donald Eric Lampkin Sr.

Mr. Donald Eric Lampkin, Sr., age 73, passed away at his home on Friday, September 9, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Markie B. and Alma Harrison Lampkin. Mr. Lampkin served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired after 30 years of service in aircraft production with Tyledyne Continental Motors. He was a member of Crawford Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing and a huge Alabama football fan. Mr. Lampkin is survived by his wife, Julie Lampkin, children; Perry Lampkin (Toddy), Paul Lampkin, Donald Lampkin, Jr., Ellan Lampkin and Kim Clark. He is also survived by his sister, Jane Maples (Jeff) and sister-in-laws, Diane Miller (David) and Fay McKinion (Henry), grandchildren, Matthew, Tisha, four great-grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery, Spanish Fort, AL with military honors.
