

Doris Antoni Billingsley, native and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, James "Ed" Billingsley, parents, Dominick Owen and Ouida Aline Link Antoni, daughter, Elizabeth "Diane" Billingsley Floyd and beloved aunt Florine Antoni Carney.
Mrs. Billingsley was a graduate of Murphy High School. She was a talented pianist who enjoyed sharing her talent and style with family, friends and local retirement communities with her dear friend Seldon Kearns (deceased). She volunteered for many years at Providence Hospital and was a tour guide at the Mobile Mardi Gras Museum. She also enjoyed sharing her extensive knowledge and stories of Mobile history to all that would listen. She moved and lived in Naperville, IL in 1973 and then to Jacksonville, FL before settling back in Mobile in 1992 and later retiring to Homestead Village of Fairhope. She was a member of Springhill United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Billingsley is survived by her son and his wife, Owen "Tony" Billingsley and Valerie. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Sarah Elizabeth Billingsley Spear (J.T.), Rebecca Ann Billingsley (Grant) and great granddaughters, Aberdeen Alexia Spear and Evangeline Scarlett Monzon. As well as her loving niece Rosemary Hart and nephew Britt Billingsley of the Fairhope area.
