Dorothy Mead Miller

Dorothy Mead Miller , born March 25, 1932, in Mobile, AL passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at her home in Theodore. She is survived by her son, Lester Joseph (Joe) Miller, and wife Melanie, her daughter Pamela Miller Shreve, and husband Pat, nine grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren. Dorothy is also survived by her loving and caring sisters, Francis Harris, Geraldine Turner, Patricia Downing, Betty Ann Kemp, Elaine Hayes, countless nieces, nephews and very special person Diane Watson. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Lester Joseph Miller, Jr., daughter, Delores Miller Brewton and son, Roy Thomas Miller. Mrs. Miller was a 1949 graduate of Bishop-Toolen Catholic High School in Mobile. Dorothy was very devout Roman Catholic who recited the rosary daily. In earlier years she was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and later became a member of Our Lady of Lourdes. Mrs. Miller was a huge fan of all sports, avid CYO lover and huge McGill-Toolen fan/supporter. Dot loved watching her grandchildren, great- grandchildren and many others play any sport. She was known to many families’ friends as MawMaw or Aunt Dot. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Radney Funeral Home , 3155 Dauphin St. Mobile, AL. from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. St. Matthew Catholic Church, 906 Garrity St. Mobile, AL. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Al.
