Dorothy Nell Polk

Dorothy Nell Polk, 89, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 in Mobile, AL. She was born to Harvey and Nancy Britt in Jackson, MS on February 4, 1929, but has resided in Mobile for 66 years. She was a member of Lakeview Assembly of God. Mrs. Polk also participated in the Pensacola Florida Unit W.B.C.C.I., as well as the Wally Bryan Caravan Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Van C. Polk; parents, Harvey Ison Britt and Nancy Lucille Britt; daughter, Betty Ann Teague Terrier; and brothers, Paul (Inez) Britt, Orval (Doris) Britt, and Aubrey (Patricia) Britt.

Mrs. Polk is survived by her son, Michael S. Teague, Jr. and his wife, Cora Lea Teague; three grandchildren, John M. (Shellie) Teague, Josie Teague, and Melissa (Keith) Randall; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; four brothers, Dezele (Tommie) Britt, Tommy (Jo) Britt, Edward (Pat) Britt, and IG Britt; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, AL, with a chapel service immediately following at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
