Douglas William Parker of Mobile passed away at home on Thursday, January 12, 2017. A graduate of McGill Institute and Auburn University, Doug also served his country in the United States Army and the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was 81. Visitation will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mobile on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with memorial Mass immediately following at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Catholic Cemetery will follow the Mass. Doug is survived by his brothers, Lewis (Lynn) and Rev. Kenneth Parker and by his loving wife Iris, who would like to thank Nurse Jessica Morris of Springhill Home Health and Hospice Care and Dr. Brian Heller of the Southern Cancer Center for their care.
