

Earline Peden Hancock – native of Philadelphia, MS born August 30, 1919 died peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 29, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Hancock; daughter, Cecila Dewight Hancock; two sons, Tommie Glenn and Cecil Don Hancock. Survivors include 3 children, John (Sherry) Hancock, James Hancock and Deborah Clark; 1 devoted son-in-law, Dennis (Suzanne) Clark; 2 daughters-in-law, Martha Hancock and Brenda (Johnny) Tutton; 14 grandchildren, Tracie (Bill), Misty (Blake), Brittany (Craig), Walter, Kimberly (Eric) Shawanda, Lorrie, Terry (Amanda), Jamie (Heather), Larry (Jessica), Jennifer (Keith), Ashlee (Ben), Daniel, Danette (Jody); 21 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and special friends Pete and Barbara Ball. Graveside services and interment will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at 12 p.m. in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Shadow Lawn Baptist Building Fund or the American Heart Association.
