Eleanor Loraine Powell Snyder

Eleanor Loraine Snyder, age 87, of Mobile, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at a local nursing home. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Edward Powell, Jr. and Eleanor Crenshaw Powell; her husband, Sidney William Snyder; and her daughter, Marilyn Ann Snyder. Mrs. Snyder is survived by her three children, Lynn (Bruce) Guernsey of Destin, FL, Jane Osborne, and Sid (Linda) Snyder all of Mobile; and five grandchildren, Kevin Guernsey, Lesley Mullins, Melinda Swarts, Lacey Osborne, and Mark Snyder. She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, where she served as a greeter for many years. She was a graduate of Murphy High School Class of 1945 and volunteered at the Mobile Infirmary Gift Shop for 47 years. Loraine was an Alabama Crimson Tide fan and loved Mardi Gras. The visitation will be Friday, June 10, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile. The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery. Rev. Terry Richey will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O.
