Elizabeth "Libby" Jean O'Rourke

Elizabeth "Libby" Jean O'Rourke, age 77, of Eight Mile, Alabama passed away surrounded by family at her home on Saturday, July 29, 2023. Libby was born in Indiana and resided in Mobile, Alabama most of her life. She was well loved by her family and friends.

Libby is survived by her partner of 22 years, Larry McKenzie; son, Rick O'Rourke; daughters, Dottie Goodin (Michael), Karen Goodin (Daniel), Vickie Daniel (Daryl); brother, Rick Jones (Brenda), sisters Patsy Leonard,Vivian Delaney and Linda Ratcliff (Ron); grandchildren, Kimberly Bock, Justin (Abby) O'Rourke, Ashley Hansen, Hunter (Alexus) Hansen, Carrie Mae Bentley, Austin (Kaycee) Goodin, Aaron (Cheyenne) Bentley; great grandchildren, Mason, Madison, Gracie, Olivia “Libby”, Parker, Ella, Conner, Hadley, Harley, Jaxon, Violet, Waylon, Holston, her extended family Brandon, Ashley and Emily Kirby and her "dogs" Foxie and Brownie.

Libby was preceded in death by her father Carl Jones; mother, Agnes Jones and her brothers-in-law Buster Leonard and John Delaney.

The family would also like to send a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Providence Hospital, Mobile Infirmary, Saraland ER and Southern Care Hospice for the care shown to Ms. Libby.

A visitation for Libby will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 DAUPHIN ISLAND PKWY, MOBILE, AL 36605, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM.
