Ruth Taylor, 79, of Mobile, AL, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, September 25, 2016. She was born to James Frank Parten and Nettie Singleton Parten on December 22, 1936. She was a very active member at Fulton Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed crafting, and was very established at needlepoint. Ruth’s family, friends, and church were her life. She is very loved and will be greatly missed.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of forty-six years, Bobby Jack Taylor; and her brother, Johnny “Buddy” Parten.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Tony (Linda) Taylor, and Michael (Rachel) Taylor; her daughter, Marie (Charlie) Mathis; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy Sealy and Helen Chicocco.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for blood donations to be made to the American Red Cross, or your closest blood bank.
