Elsie Morgan Norris

Mrs. Elsie Morgan Norris, age 91, born on November 4, 1924 to Jessie and Dovie Morgan, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years, Daniel J. “D.J.” Norris, Jr., seven brothers and sisters; Doris Ingram, Ramona Hicks, Orville Morgan, Opie Morgan, Vernon Morgan, Lindell Morgan and Leland Morgan. Elsie and D. J. married on March 15, 1946. He passed away on April 15, 2010. Elsie was active in the local community for many years with several charity organizations. She enjoyed travelling and was a member of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Norris is survived by her children; son, Daniel J. Norris, III and daughter, Beverly J. Coradini. She is also survived by her two granddaughters, Heather (Phillip) Bruce and Lindsey (Ricky) Williams, four great-grandchildren, Logan and Taylor Bruce, Austyn and Blake Williams, many nieces, nephews and other family. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Pine Crest Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-mobile.com.
