She was preceded in death by her husband, John Chapman York, Sr., and son, John Chapman York, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, son, William R. “Bob” York, Sr. (Rita); grandsons, William R. York, Jr. and Timothy C. York (Cary); beloved sister, Dot Dansereau; and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Griffin, Regan, and Britten York.
Mrs. York was a devoted member of Government Street Baptist Church and cherished all of her many friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
