Eugenia W. Malone – a 93 year-old native of Waterloo, SC and longtime resident of Mobile died peacefully on April 8, 2012, at a local hospital. She retired from Providence Hospital after 27 years of service as an operating room nurse. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. Mrs. Malone was preceded in death by her husband, J. Elbert Malone. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jean Voorhees of Greenwood, SC, and many friends, including Toni Coleman, Joyce Templeton, and Mary Gonzales. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Thursday, April 12, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in Waterloo Cemetery in Waterloo, SC at a later date.
