Eunice Ione Pugh

Eunice Ione Bumpers Pugh – an 87 year-old native of Coffeeville, AL and resident of Wilmer passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011. Mrs. Pugh retired from the University of South Alabama as Food Services Manger after 20 years of service. She was a 54 year member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mrs. Pugh was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Grady J. Pugh; son, Ronald Pugh; and great-grandson, Hunter Strickland. Mrs. Pugh is survived by two daughters, Karen Pugh-Skipper and Beverly Morse (Allen); sisters, Claudine Jones and Earline Gibson (Thomas); grandchildren, Robb Strickland, Jennifer Wright, Kelly Skelton, Jason Pugh, and Kasey McKinion; 13 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many loyal friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 900 Western America Cir., Mobile, AL 36606, or Trinity Baptist Church, 13685 Tanner Williams Rd., Wilmer, AL 36587.
