Faye Farmer Owen

Faye Farmer Owen, age 88, a native of Ramer, and resident of Mobile, Alabama, died peacefully on December 10, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father, John Farmer, her mother, Annie Royal and stepfather, Clyde Royal; sisters, Elizabeth Farmer Tanner and June Farmer Tidwell. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 57 years, Billy Carl Owen, Sr.; son, Billy Carl Owen, Jr. and daughter-in-law Laura Pancoast. She was blessed with two beloved grandchildren, Preston and Shelby Owen. She is also survived by her sister, Joan Collier (Claude) as well as many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Faye retired after many years of service with the Corps of Engineers as a Procurement Clerk. She and her husband were members of St. John’s Episcopal Church. They enjoyed attending Mardi Gras festivities over a number of years and travelled extensively. For many years, they generously hosted family and friends at their bay house on Mobile Bay. A family graveside service will be held at Ebenezer Cemetery, Ramer, AL. The family would like to acknowledge the loving care given by DeeDee Jackson and Donna Johnson and their compassionate staff.
