Frances Nelson-Zirlott

Mrs. Frances Nelson Zirlott, passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elisha W. and Earline Louise Sprinkle Nelson, brothers, Elisha Nelson, Jr., Mickey Nelson, Terry Nelson, sisters, Rose Conway and Myrtle Cooper.

Mrs. Zirlott was born on January 14, 1944 in Bayou Le Batre. She was a loving homemaker and helpmate to her husband of 60 years, Raymond "Curtis" Zirlott in the shrimping business. She loved family time especially time spent with her grandchildren, cooking and in her early years sewing was on of her favorite past times.

Mrs. Zirlott is survived by her loving husband, and son, Curtis "Pete" Zirlott. She is also survived by her grandsons, Curt and Pete Zirlott, and siblings, Jimmy Nelson (Cecilia), Kent Nelson (Brenda), Tommy Nelson, Betty Nelson Gunnels (Mr. Shirley Gunnels), Avon Nelson Lannie (Dennis) and Yvonne Nelson Cheevers, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be held at Victory Baptist Church, 14473 Bellingrath Rd., Coden, AL 36523 on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Robert W. Reed will officiate. Interment will follow in Oddfellow Cemetery.
