Mr. Franklin D. Aiken, Sr., age 81, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry M. and Audie Massey Aiken, Sr. Mr. Aiken was a member of Moffett Road Baptist Church for over 68 years, singing in the choir until he was unable to do so. He loved gospel music, singing, woodworking and his time spent with his loving family. Mr. Aiken is survived by his wife, Neva Bamberg Aiken and children Jane Creswell (Tom), Stephanie Evans (Jimmy) and Franklin Aiken, Jr. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Bryan Creswell, Andrew Creswell, Brooke Evans Howell (Matt) and Heidi Evans. Visitation will be held at Moffett Road Baptist Church on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until service time of 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
