
Frelia Yvonne Tucker Evans a native of Mobile Alabama and a resident of Dallas Texas, born December 26, 1946 to the Late Clarence and Velma Tucker, departed this life for eternity on May 21, 2018 at Charlton Hospital. Frelia was the eldest of two children; her beloved brother Clarence (Toby) Tucker preceded her in death.
Frelia attended Kentucky State University and subsequently moved to San Antonio Texas to be with her parents. There she met and married DJ Evans To this union one child was born, Delancey (Lance) Jerome Evans Jr. Her professional career included employment with Southwestern Bell in San Antonio Texas later transferring to Dallas Texas. After several years with Southwestern Bell, Frelia made a career move to Prudential Insurance where she remained until her retirement in December 1999.
Frelia was a devout Catholic. She donated to the many causes of Catholic Charities her entire adult life. She was a passionate reader, Stephen King being her favorite novelist. Frelia took so much pleasure in the fun times she spent on road trips with her son Lance.
She leaves to cherish their beautiful memories her pride and joy, her beloved son Delancey(Lance) Jerome Evans Jr, of Dallas Texas, two nieces Tegan Eliana Tucker of Dallas, Texas and Angela (Lorenzo)Diaz of San Antonio, Texas. One nephew Troy Tucker. Five great-nephews, Braylen Jackson, Wayne Greer Tucker, Julius Greer Tucker, Lorenzo T. Diaz and Leevan Walsh Jr, one great-niece Dysherrika M. Wester, one uncle Gilbert (G.B.) Tucker of Mobile, Alabama; her faithful friend of 52 years Zula Polk and her children Miiyoshi Holmes, Tyrell Holmes of Dallas, Texas; devoted cousin Lula Crear of Dallas, Texas three dear cousins Mary Louise Hunter, Dorothy Coleman, of Theodore, Alabama, Willistean McCallister and a host of relatives and friends.
