
Gary W. Lambert, age 68, of Mobile, AL, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017. Gary was a native of Mobile and graduated from Mary G. Montgomery High School in 1967. He went on to earn a degree in Social work from Western Michigan. After finishing school, he became a police officer for the Battle Creek Police Department. He returned to Mobile in 1979. He has been a very active member in a mystic society for the past 36 years. He was a member of the Senior Bowl Committee, loved everything about Mobile and was even referred to as “Mister Mardi Gras” himself. Gary is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lambert; son, Lance Lambert and two grandchildren, Taylor Turner and Hadley Brooke Turner. Gary is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patricia; two sons, Derek (Jennifer) Lambert and Myles Lambert; two daughters, Callie Lambert and Chelsea Turner (Troy) and father, Marcus A. Lambert. He is also survived by his brother, David Lambert; four sisters, Kim (Bob) Cupp, Terry (Jimbo) Betbeze, Laurie (Barry) Turberville, Nancy (Brad) McDonald, six grandchildren, thirteen nephews, seven nieces, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Pine Crest West Cemetery, 1599 Snow Road.Arrangements under the direction of Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, Mobile, AL.
