Gloria Haywood Blount – a 73 year-old native of Porterdale, GA and resident of Mobile passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010. She was a member of Crawford Baptist Church. Mrs. Blount is survived by her husband of 51 years, Roy J. Blount, Jr.; daughter, Julia Blount May (James); grandchildren, Stephanie Rae (Tommy), Daniel May, and Adam May; brothers, Donald Haywood (Barbara) and Richard Underwood (Garrie); and many friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, January 3, 2011, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 2, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
