H. Benjamin “Ben” Pierce – a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Pierce was a lifelong member of New Hope Baptist Church. He enjoyed Mardi Gras, especially riding in the Joe Cain Parade. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny F. Pierce and Oma Lee Pierce; his sister, Polly Devery; and his brother, Sonny Hipp. He is survived by his niece, Ashley (Daniel) Lundy; his brother-in-law, Tommy Devery; his devoted friend, Mario Garcia; and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, April 5, 2013 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pierce Creek Cemetery.
