He attended Leinkauf Elementary and Murphy High School. Before and after serving in World War II, he worked for the Title Insurance Company. He was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Amelia; a daughter Patricia Goubil-Gambrell of Austin, Texas; a granddaughter Leigh G. Bowins, her husband Andrew and a great granddaughter Alexandra Bowins, all of Pleasantville, New York; and his sister Mrs. Joseph C. (Imogene) Lawson of Fair Oaks, California.
He was predeceased by his son, H. Gregory Goubil. Funeral services will be held at Spring Hill Baptist Church on Monday, August 15, 2011, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
