

Helen Marie Goodwin was born to Antonio and Anna Bagnata on October 28, 1931 in Hazleton Pennsylvania. She was the youngest of nine children having four brothers and four sisters. After high school she worked as a seamstress in Pennsylvania. In 1952, she married Clyde Goodwin and moved to Mobile Alabama after the completion of his enlistment in the United States Navy. They were happily married until his passing in 1993.
Helen and Clyde had five children together and raised them in a loving home in Mobile. Helen loved her family whole heartedly and constantly prayed for their health and safety. Helen loved to cook and cherished preparing a meal for the entire family every Sunday.
Helen loved taking trips to the casinos and participating in church activities. Helen loved her family and frequent visits from her granddaughter (who she loved like a daughter) Vickey Anderson. Helen enjoyed donating her time and money to the Samaritan’s Purse providing shoeboxes with toys and essential items to children in need. Helen enjoyed exercising and did so until she was no longer able to.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents Antonia and Anna Bagnata, her loving husband Clyde Goodwin, her three sisters and four brothers, her daughter Marie Ewing and her grandchildren Lisa Ewing and Johnathan Hall.
Helen is survived by her sister Pauline and her loving children Theresa Hall, Ray Goodwin (Susan), Gary Goodwin (Peggy) and Sharon Yockey (Robert). Helen is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
